Lunch and Learn: Medicaid Policy on Care Payments

Description

Medicaid policy in Michigan has traditionally punished applicants when care payments were not made just so. Now, a Michigan Court of Appeals published opinion has changed the way policy conducts their review of these transactions, for the better, but it still requires specific verification to be provided. Knowing how an individual can document their care payments to avoid a negative outcome should they later apply for the long term care benefit is easy and increasingly valuable.
