This session introduces the core principles of Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) and how they apply to all healthcare providers committed to improving quality, safety, and patient experience.  Participants will gain a clear understanding of QAPI's essential components - data use, root-cause analysis, performance improvement projects (PIPs), and leadership engagement.  The presentation offers practical examples to help teams integrate QAPI into daily operations, strengthen accountability, and drive measurable, sustainable improvements in care delivery.


Session Objectives:  

1.  Describe the Foundational principle and regulatory expectations of QAPI and how they apply across all healthcare stages.

2.  Discuss how to use data to identify risks, strengthen care processes and enhance patient outcomes.  

3.  Identify ways to build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
